Overview

Beautiful and challenging dive site on the side of the Garda Lake in northern Italy. The dive begins from shore with a slow descent to a metal platform at 6 meters of depth, the sand and rocky bottom then slopes down to a first canion around 28 meters and from there a vertical wall takes you to another plateau of sand and mixed rocks at about 45 meters depth. You will encounter an horizontal speed limit signal at 50 meters. From there, you can take a left (south direction) slowly descending until you find the breathtaking vertical wall that reaches 90+ meters, all surrounded by wonderful canions, rock formations and incredible sights on the rocks and in the many crevices on the wall. There is a Madonna statue overlooking the drop and a small nativity scene around 30 meters. The other surprises are left to the reader, the entrance to the canion at 65 meters is absolutely incredible. Say hello to the bottatrice on the way up!

Access: You can reach it by coming down from Torbole and parking on the left side of the road close to the ramp going up. From there you can descend under the gallery below the road and then take the stair taking you down to the beach. There are indications once you are on the road, so just keep walking towards the lake and it will be very easy to pick up.

Marine life: Lots of local life, bottatrici, persico, persico sole, some catfish, fresh water shrimps. in the right season you will find some FAT lucci waiting in the sea grass. the rocks are covered in tiny mussels.

Safety: There is a permanent diver buoy on the surface but due to the small walk to reach the site emergency vehicle access will be on the main road, take all precautions necessary and be careful as the tree roots and leaves going down can be very slippery, especially when carrying tanks.
