Overview
The Giannis D is a 100-meter-long Greek cargo ship that sank in 1983 after striking the Sha'ab Abu Nahas reef. The wreck rests on its port side at a depth of approximately 27-28 meters and is broken into three sections: bow, amidships, and stern. The stern section, with its bridge, mast, and engine room, is particularly well-preserved. The engine room often houses large schools of glassfish. The tilted orientation provides a unique experience. Marine life includes glassfish, lionfish, and anthias.
