Overview
Shark Point (Hin Mu Sang) is one of Phuket's signature dive sites, consisting of a series of limestone pinnacles covered in colorful soft corals, sea fans, and anemones. The site was named for the frequent sightings of leopard sharks resting on the sandy bottom, although they are less common today. Divers can also expect schools of snapper, fusiliers, barracuda, trevally, moray eels, lionfish, scorpionfish, ghost pipefish, nudibranchs, and occasionally turtles. Depths range from 5–24 m (16–79 ft), with currents varying from mild to strong, making it best suited to intermediate and advanced divers.
