Overview
A shallow lagoon wreck of a giant WWII Japanese Kawanishi H8K reconnaissance seaplane. The fuselage, propellers, and wing frames rest in just 9 meters of water and are surrounded by schools of red snappers. While it has been called "B-29" by local boat captains and divers for decades, the sunken aircraft at this site is actually a massive Imperial Japanese Navy Kawanishi H8K (Type 2 Large Flying Boat), which went by the Allied reporting name "Emily" during World War II.
