The Dimple

The Dimple is a legendary boat dive site located on the western barrier reef of Saipan. It is celebrated as one of the most interactive marine sites in the Northern Mariana Islands. It is world-famous for its massive, incredibly friendly resident schools of red-gilled snappers and butterflyfish that completely swarm scuba divers. On one side of the mound sits a large, bowl-like depression (the "dimple") in the limestone reef.
