Overview

HMHS Britannic, the hospital ship lost on 21 November 1916 off Kea, is identified by scientific sonar work and repeated expeditions. The coordinates supplied here exactly match Alexander Sotirou's GPS-mapped bridge-area shotline from the 2012 expedition, subsequently confirmed by divers near the deck. This is a documented historical wreck-site point, not a present mooring or current navigation fix. The 2012 approach recorded an 86 m wreck echo over a 116 m sandy-bottom approach. Kea Divers publishes an 84–118 m wreck range; the competent authority's 2025 recovery work reached over 120 m. These differently scoped observations do not establish a complete hull-and-debris maximum. The operator's separate 100 m guided exterior route ceiling is not the wreck maximum. No qualification, penetration permission or current access authorization is implied. Safety: The 2012 expedition documents strong currents and commercial shipping traffic. Published depths exceed ordinary recreational limits, and no complete maximum is established. No route, qualification, penetration permission or current access authorization is supplied.
